Infinix Note 3 launched with marshmallow and recently got an update to Nougat (Android 7.0). The update brings cool features as can be confirmed by those guys who have had a chance to interact with the new system. The update is still based on XOS.

As usual am here to give you a way to root the device. Most of us love to have our devices rooted as required when one needs to tweak at administrator level. This rooting method has been tried on the BETA test version and found to be working ok
INSTALLING CTR RECOVERY
1. Download the recovery from THIS LINK
2. Extract it and flash to your device with Sp Flash Tool
3. After successful flashing, boot into recovery using Power Key + Volume Up
NB: Flash supersu after flashing the recovery to avoid getting stuck on the Infinix Logo
HOW TO ROOT INFINIX NOTE 3 NOUGAT
1. Get any version of supersu zip from v2.71 and above
2. Boot into CTR recovery and flash the supersu zip
3. Reboot after flashing and DO NOT interfere with the booting process till it has fully booted
4. Confirm root status after the device has booted with your favourite root checker app
