INTRODUCTION

Before we proceed, we just want to thank all of you for all your support that you have given us. This wouldn’t be possible without you. Thank you for making us have an interest in compiling Custom ROMs. We thought releasing this project in our anniversary is a good idea but we realized that we have fans to support so we decided to release this project earlier than its expected release date. AndroidHQ254+PC would like to thank everyone who supported their community.

WHAT IS RESURRECTION REMIX?

The Resurrection Remix has been based on Lineage OS, SlimRoms, Omni and original Remix ROM builds, this creates an awesome combination of performance, customization, power and the most new features, brought directly to your Device. Many things that in previous versions were tweaked with mods, are now included by default in the ROM so, please enjoy! DISCLAIMER We, here at Android HQ + PC, and the developers associated with this ROM will not be responsible for thermonuclear war, dead SD Cards, or you getting fired because the alarm clock failed and you pointing your finger at us for messing up with your device. You are deciding to make these changes so you’ll be the one who’s responsible. Nothing bad won’t happen if you follow the instructions that I provided correctly. Following my instructions incorrectly will result in a bad way. Do it at your own risk.

NOTE

This builds are for V4701_I01 only. Technically, they were built for brown 1. If your device is not brown 1, you should never install any kinds of the builds that we compiled, unless, you compiled it yourself. All these kinds of builds are not built from source.

Also, the ‘built’ term in the changelog shouldn’t be taken literally. We haven’t built a single ROM; it is just a demonstration that these builds are our works and properties.

This build is unofficial, and never will be official. We didn’t mean to be rude, but, you should never expect OTA (Over-The-Air) updates from unrecognized compilers and developers like us. Since that this is a Philippine device, you shouldn’t expect official builds too, because gathering software sources (such as device trees, and kernel sources) from a local-branded Philippine device is the most difficult thing would a developer do. We tried our best to get them, but we knew that we’re just wasting our time looking for nothing.

Bugs:
• Fingerprint sensor (removed support)
• 720p HD Video Streaming on YouTube and other sites
• Video Recording (Not a problem if you'll use a 3rd party camera app)
• Other than that, everything works fine. If you found a bug, please kindly let us know by messaging us privately.

INSTRUCTIONS
Before you proceed, please read the disclaimer properly and please make sure that you understand it. The process of installing a root privilege, unlocking the bootloader and flashing a Custom Recovery is not included here because the main thing here is to flash the ROM, not to flash anything unrelated to ROM.

1) Download the latest build and an Open-GApps Package. If you don’t know what variant of Open-GApps package to choose, use ARM64 then Android 7.1, then use the micro variant. Nano or Pico is highly recommended for the best performance.
2) Put those two files in a desired folder, where you can remember.
3) Reboot to a Custom Recovery (PBRP 2.9.0 is highly recommended)
4) Wipe Data, Cache, System and Dalvik Cache
5) Flash the ROM, do not flash root because Magisk is already included in the installer; you can flash the latest version of Magisk if the Magisk version included in the installer is outdated
6) After flashing the ROM, flash the Open-GApps Package that you downloaded
7) After flashing those two files, reboot to system and wait 5-15 minutes until the ROM boots
8) Setup your ROM then, voila! You have successfully installed Resurrection Remix on your device!
